Date night might be a special time if it typically doesn't happen on a regular basis. Even if it does, maybe you are looking for new ideas for some fun to be had with someone special in your life. Here are five fun options for places to go enjoy your date night in the "City of Brotherly Love."

The Mural Arts Project is considered to be the world's largest outdoor art gallery, and it features many local artists. It is not an expensive thing to do on a date and is appreciated by art lovers and outdoor lovers alike. The tour can be seen either by walking, train or trolley. The murals start in various locations throughout the city, so you have options for whether you eat before, during or after the mural tour. There are over 3,000 murals, so you may not see them all on one date. Many murals cover buildings or portions of buildings, and some are interactive with sounds and audio clips. Throughout the year, there are new exhibits that are added to locations in the city.

Going out for a great meal is a standard for date nights. If you want it to be a bit on the whimsical and romantic side, and you are interested in a farm-to-table restaurant, head to Talula's Garden. The food here is not your typical bowling alley food and is handcrafted with sustainable meats and local produce. Some of the favorite dishes praised by patrons are the braised short ribs, quesadillas and vegan dumplings. All of the food is artisan quality, but you can still get your typical wings here. Besides bowling, there are also darts and pool.

If you love jazz music and want to have a fun and relaxing evening, you may want to consider Time on Samson St. This place has something for most everyone. Besides being a jazz lounge, it is a whisky bar, tap room and restaurant. The jazz is here Monday through Saturday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Tuesdays, it's open mic nights if you wish to showcase your own talent or just have fun. Popular dishes here are the salmon crostini, deviled eggs and mac-n-cheese.

If you and your date are more of the night owl variety, perhaps you would prefer to hit an upscale night club. Bleu Martini is open from 4 pm-2 am, and their happy hour extends until 9 pm. You can also eat here; the cuisine is American, Asian and French, plus they serve some decent sushi. The evening dance party features mostly current music and techno, provided by a DJ.
