Best After Hours Restaurants In Orange County

The fun doesn't stop after the sun sets or the clock strikes midnight in OC. At these after hours restaurants, there's family fun, live theater, beaches and much more. Almost all of these restaurants are open 24 hours a day, perfect for people who are looking forward to a long day stretching into a late night. For the person looking to eat at a place more original than Denny's, these are all good choices for after hours dining.

Taqueria De Anda is a local Mexican restaurant that actually has five locations and one on the way. This one, located on E. La Palma Ave., is near a couple of great attractions. If traveling by car, the Honda Center is about ten minutes away. All you hockey fans know that's where the Ducks play their home games. Disneyland is a little farther off, about a 15-minute drive from the restaurant. All Taqueria De Anda restaurants are open 24 hours a day and specialize in making tacos and burritos.

This café is about a ten minute drive from the Garden Grove Festival Amphitheater. The amphitheater's web page states they are "the only professional performing arts organization in Orange County solely dedicated to producing the classics." The outdoor theater has a full schedule this summer, with Hamlet among the productions. Rather than go directly home after a lengthy, nighttime play, you can stop at a diner and extend your night out. Mae's Cafe classifies itself as "a traditional family diner," and is a true 24-hour restaurant that is open all week. The restaurant serves comfort food like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, country fried steak, seafood plates, delicious desserts and much more to indulge in!

The Pacific Amphitheater is host to many exciting concerts and other live events. Bands such as Train, Three Dog Night and The Offspring play there. Comedians Jim Gaffigan and Jeff Dunham are scheduled to show up and give people a laugh in summer 2016. After a night out at the amphitheater, you'll find Norm's Restaurant is only a few miles away. It's similar to Mae's in that it has a great all-day breakfast menu. It also has an impressive menu in general. Besides typical diner fare such as salads, burgers, sandwiches and French fries, there are more complex dishes as well.

For those who plan on staying out late in the city of Westminster, this cafe is only a couple of miles away from the Wesminster Mall (which typically closes at 9 p.m.). Is anyone a fan of the band Sublime? About two and a half miles away from the cafe is Westminster Memorial, the resting place of deceased lead singer Bradley Nowell. After your spooky trip to the cemetery, enjoy this diner's 24/7 service. Cafe Westminster offers guests plenty of delicious options to choose from. Try their stack of pancakes, or a great omelet. Or, go for a t-bone steak! There are many other great choices here though. For those who want a meal with smaller portions, there are "low calorie plates" available, which are health conscious meals.

This 24-hour restaurant has two locations alongside the famous Pacific Coast Highway. One is at Dana Point and the other is at Sunset Beach. Many travel the PCH to admire the beautiful view. If you'd like to stop for a bite to eat while your on your way to any of the beautiful beaches along the highway, this restaurant is a sure thing. It has been serving typical American food since it opened in 1939.
