8 Best Hiking Trails For Celeb Sightings

Although it is city not known for its hiking, Los Angeles has a fair amount of scenic hikes, some more arduous than others. The city has over 180 hikes - check out Trail Map for a list of hikes - so there is something for everyone. With nearly perfect weather year round, Angelenos flood popular hikes on the weekends either to get outside and see the beautiful views or for more of a strenuous workout.

Located in the southwest section of Griffith Park, this hike (more of a walk actually) is best known for the Bronson Cave. The man-made tunnel became most famous as the entrance of the Batcave in the Batman TV series and is still used for shoots to this day. The walk is just about ⅔ of a mile with minimal elevation change. Celebs that have been spotted include Brad Pitt and Ashley Jensen.

Tucked away in the hills of Beverly Hills near Studio City, the 2.7 mile loop trail provides scenic views that both you and your best furry friend can enjoy. The hike which isn't too crowded, provides panoramic views of the city and is a favorite for certain celebrities. Celeb sighted include Isla Fisher, Dakota Fanning and Emile Hirsch.

Located between Beverly Hills and the San Fernando Valley, the 605 acre park is home to a three-acre lake, an ADA-accessible duck pond, picnic grounds and over five miles of hiking trails. While on one of the hikes, you may recognize the lake from the opening credits of The Andy Griffith Show and the park was also the background for the cover photo of Simon & Garfunkel's album Sounds of Silence. Hike here and you just might spot celebs like Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

On this 2.5 mile hike, which starts at a picnic area, hikers will get a good glimpse of the LA Basin and views of the Griffith Observatory. Located just off Fern Drive off Los Feliz, this hike also has great views of the Hollywood sign. Celebs: Joaquin Phoenix and Rebel Wilson.

This short 40-minute hike will take you to the Hollywood Sign. Along with seeing beautiful scenery of the city and valley, hikers can get up close to the back of the large Hollywood Sign. Celebs: Madonna and Natalie Portman.

Known as the less-crowded Runyon Canyon, this Brentwood hotspot is for those that want to stay on the Westside but still have beautiful views of the city and beach. At the peak of the 5-mile loop hike you can stop at the Nike Missile tower and see some pretty amazing views of the coastline. Hikers can either stay on the walking path or brave the hill options just to the right. Celebs: Jennifer Garner, Fergie and Josh Duhamel.

Probably the worst kept secret in LA is seeing celebrities at Runyon Canyon. Located close to the Hollywood Hills, the 3-mile loop has an off-leash policy for dogs and is great for people watching. No need to wear hiking gear as most come to look good while having a mild workout. Celebs: All of them, but specifically Vanessa Hudgens, Gavin Rossdale, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Located in beautiful sunny Malibu, the 3-mile loop hike is an easy hike that features a creek and waterfall (both currently don't have water due to the drought). Along with ocean views, hikers can go off the beaten path a bit and trek further up and have amazing 360 views of the mountains and ocean. Many hikers have spotted celebs like Diane Von Furstenberg, Pamela Anderson and Owen Wilson.
