Sold: 'Silence Of The Lambs' House Has New Owner
PERRYOPOLIS (KDKA) – A Fayette County home where the famous movie "The Silence of the Lambs" was filmed has been sold.
According to a Tribune-Review report, the home of "Buffalo Bill" sold for $195,000. The unidentified buyer is a fan of the film.
KDKA-TV's Dave Crawley met with Barbara and Scott Lloyd shortly after they listed it for sale last August. Their initial asking price was $300,000.
The retired school teachers and their son moved up to the second floor during filming.
"We never knew what to expect when we got home from work," Barbara said. "How many people were in the house, outside the house."
The house was built in 1910, by the owner of a dry goods store. In January, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) showed interest in the home.
They wanted to turn the home into an empathy museum and allow visitors to wear the skins of animals that were abused.
