Philly Police Serenade 'Berners' In The Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Sweet 'home' Philadelphia?

Bernie Sanders supporters set up camp in FDR Park across from the DNC. Through heat, humidity and rain the protesters found ways to fight their fight, make their voices heard, their presence known and even make some (police) friends along the way.

In the City of Brotherly Love and sisterly affection, what's more fitting then the men in blue serenading one of the campers?

Here at the PPD, we do it all: Service, Safety, Skynyrd. #DNCinPHL

Rebecca Johnson commented: 'Thank you for welcoming us into your city and taking such good care of us. Every single officer I spoke to was amazing, not just courteous but cracking jokes and putting people at ease. I expected to feel tension but all I felt was mutual respect. At one point our entire march started to chant "thank you Philadelphia PD" as we made our way through the streets. Honestly, just above and beyond. I went with my mother and my children thank you for keeping their grandma and I safe.'

From the smiles and applause from people all around the park, we'd say you do it well.
