Partition Collapses, Injuring Dozens Of Concert Goers At Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa Show In NJ

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) -- Dozens of people were injured at a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert in Camden, New Jersey Friday night.

Authorities say 42 are hurt after a partition fell at the show.

Officials say one person is seriously injured. The rest of the injuries are considered minor.

Victims were taken to five area hospitals.

Emergency crews were called out to the BB&T Pavilion around 10:11 p.m.

 

Leokas Strba says, "In one moment, just all of the people fell down."

Pedro Gomez adds, "I saw one guy who kept touching his head, and part of his face was open."

Witnesses tell Eyewitness News the railing was not strong enough to sustain the weight of dozes of fans pressing against it, trying to snap video of the two rappers.

Organizers canceled the rest of the concert shortly after the collapse.

Authorities aren't sure what caused the railing to buckle. 

Tonight's concert at the BB&T Pavillion featuring Salt-n-Pepa will go on as scheduled.
