Injured Minn. Hockey Player Continues Rehab At Mayo Clinic

ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) — A hockey player from Minnesota who suffered a spinal cord injury in a game has left an Illinois hospital to continue his rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

In a statement released Tuesday by the Mayo Clinic, Matt Olson's parents said he left Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, on April 8 to continue his rehab at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Olson, a junior league defenseman with the Chicago Cougars, was hurt during a February game at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.

Olson's parents said in the statement that his schedule will be "very full as he settles into his new routine of intensive rehabilitation."
