However, even four performances and an "aww you're sweet, but no" from RiRi to the biggest artist of 2016 couldn't slow the Formation of Beyoncé.

Yes, Britney's return to "Glory" was ok, and a major improvement over her last time on the VMA stage – but it still played a little stiff. The Princess Of Pop writhed around with rapper G Eazy for her latest single "Make Me," but then also lip-synced the hook to G Eazy's hit "Me, Myself & I" not originally featuring her. Did we mention it happened after Beyoncé?
