Researchers: Roller Coasters Could Help Pass Kidney Stones

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Have a kidney stone? Try riding a roller coaster.

Michigan researchers say roller coasters could help patients pass small kidney stones.

They say the rough movement helps dislodge the stones, making it easier for them to pass.

However, riding a roller coaster is not a surefire way to get rid of a kidney stone, but the research teams believe it could be helpful when used in addition to standard treatments.
