Father Pleads For Safe Return Of Missing Celebrity Backup Dancer From Los Angeles

WINNETKA (CBSLA.com) — The father of a missing celebrity backup dancer from Los Angeles is pleading for the safe return of his daughter.

Shirlene Quigley was last seen getting on a Port Authority bus in New York City around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Her mobile phone and car were later found in different locations. North Bergen Police in New Jersey were investigating this as a missing-person case. They said there were no signs of foul play so far.

The 32-year-old is a popular performer and backup dancer, who had appeared in music videos like Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love" and Rihanna's "S.O.S."

She has also performed all over the world with other famous artists including Missy Elliot, Mary J Blige and Chris Brown, according to her website.

Her father, Brad Quigley, said his daughter was born and raised in Los Angeles and recently moved to New York City to live her dreams.

She works as a choreographer there and teaches dance at Peridance Capezio Center and Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan, her website said.

Her father said they talked every day and knew something was wrong when he didn't hear from her on Saturday.

"I want my daughter back. She's the most important thing in my life," he said. "Everybody that's reaching out is saying that this is not Shirlene."

On Instagram Monday, Rihanna asked her fans to help find Shirlene and contact police if they have any information.

Quigley said his daughter has no enemies that he knows of and would tell him if something was wrong. "The last time I spoke to her, she was very very happy, very upbeat."

He said she is very religious and walks within her Christian faith.

"There's no reason for this. She doesn't have any issues. Baby, come home. I love you," Quigley wept. "Everyone loves you. If you're not alone, whoever it is, please let my daughter go and let her be home."
