Police Arrest Suspect In Theft Of Clinton Campaign Computers
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating the theft of three laptops that may have contained information about the Hillary Clinton Campaign from a car in Northern Liberties.
It happened around 8 p.m. Friday along the 100 block of Brown Street.
Police arrested a 27-year-old male suspect Saturday night, after three computers were recovered through a search warrant from the suspects' home.
Police say this was a random theft and the suspect had no indication that these computers were connected to any campaign work.
Police say four men parked their SUV and walked to a restaurant a few blocks away. When they returned to the vehicle about an hour later they found the rear passenger window has been smashed and three backpacks, each containing Mac Book Pros and other various items, had been stolen.

Authorities believe the computers may have contained information on Clinton's campaign schedule because the men work for her campaign.
A spokesperson for the Clinton campaign released the following statement Saturday afternoon:
"Three advance staffers had personal belongings, including backpacks and computers, stolen from their vehicle. According to the Philadelphia police commissioner, this appears to be a routine theft, and local law enforcement is handling the matter. We have confidence they will resolve it."
