FOP President John McNesby: LeSean McCoy Received Special Treatment

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a nearly two month investigation, Philadelphia district attorney Seth Williams announced LeSean McCoy was not going to be charged for an alleged assault in a bar fight with three-off duty police officers on April 4th.

Nearly two more months after the decision, Fraternal Order of Police president John McNesby -- who was outspoken throughout the investigation -- joined Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show in-studio to discuss the cross-country bike ride by officer Anthony Case.

FOP President: 'They Have More Discovery On LeSean McCoy Than O.J. Simpson'

McNesby was still hot about the McCoy decision, he says, which is apparently far from over.

"It came to a point where we were done screaming and yelling, you can talk about it so long," McNesby said of the McCoy decision. "So we moved on to the -- we requested an investigation, sent a letter to the attorney general. We did get a response and there is an active investigation as we speak, into that case."

McNesby is confident the attorney general will find more on the case that the DA's office.

"I would bet the house, the dog, the wife, the farm and everything else," McNesby said on Tuesday. "Absolutely, yes."

Did LeSean McCoy get better treatment than a normal individual?

"Absolutely, he got red carpet treatment," McNesby said.

"Take away that they were officers, it's just a regular bar fight. You have video. Whether you're the aggressor or not the aggressor, you're done. You got stomped. There should be some kind of an arrest in that case. It's happened a number of times. They're not shy about locking our cops up for little things. They should make sure it is fair and equal across the board and it wasn't done in this case, in our opinion."

As for the FOP's relationship with the district attorney's office, well, let's just say it's not the same.

"You can rest assure we won't be swinging any Seth Williams for DA banners across the FOP anytime soon," said McNesby.
