Larry Brown: 'I Could Straighten Out Sixers In Five Minutes'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Larry Brown is a well-known detractor of The Process.
The former Philadelphia 76ers head coach -- who led the team to the 2000-01 NBA Finals -- has publicly disagreed with the Sixers' direction under their new general manager Sam Hinkie.
"I'm sick of what's going on there," Brown said via Sheridan Hoops. "You know I care about the Sixers. It's an unbelievable basketball city and I had a great experience there. I don't want to get on them when they're struggling, but they don't have any veteran leadership. I want to help. I could straighten it out in five minutes. I wish they'd get Allen involved. All those young kids worship him."
Last October, Brown echoed similar sentiment in an interview on SportsRadio 94WIP.
"If anybody deserved to be part of that franchise, I felt it was Aaron [McKie] and then I was really upset when Eric [Snow] and George [Lynch] and myself weren't able to get to Allen's retirement," Brown said in October. "And then, I'm concerned, I wanted Allen involved with that franchise in a real positive way and in an important way."
