Citizens Bank Park Among PETA's Top 10 Vegan-Friendly Ballparks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Citizens Bank Park has been honored as one of the top ten ball parks in the country when it comes to vegan food options.

Citizens Bank Park just barely made the list, coming in at number 10 in the rankings put together by PETA.

Senior Outreach Strategist, Daniel Carron lists the items that made the South Philly stadium stand out.

"They have veggie dogs there, they have veggie soft tacos, there's a thing called the Farmer's Market Grain bowl, three bean chilli, and that's in addition to normal things that most ballparks have that are already vegan like pretzels and french fries and stuff," he said.

PETA has been putting the rankings together for 14-years now, but Carron says this year was one of the hardest to put their list together.

"The vegan scene has just been exploding the past few years," he said. "We're seeing vegan nachos with vegan cheese pop up at baseball stadiums, and faux chicken wraps, and veggie burgers and veggie dogs are pretty much becoming the norm to have at these ball parks. So it's really, really exciting to see."
