Jordan Matthews 'Fine' After Leaving Practice With Left-Knee Injury

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews left practice on Friday with a left-knee injury.

"Matthews' left-knee [is] being evaluated," head coach Doug Pederson said after practice.

According to reports, Matthews was apparently hit low by rookie corner Jalen Mills.

Speaking on Sirius XMNFL Radio, Pederson said Matthews will be fine.

Matthews, 24, is entering his third NFL season. Last year, Matthews lead the Eagles with 85 catches for 997 yards and eight touchdowns.

Also, on Friday, tight end Zach Ertz and defensive lineman Marcus Smith suffered head injuries.

Ertz was cleared after going through the concussion protocol, but expressed his displeasure with low hits at practice to reporters.
