Bucks County Activates Code Blue Following Tuesday's Batch Of Snow

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—On Tuesday morning, Bucks County activated a Code Blue warning.

The warning is expected to go from Tuesday, December 10th until Friday, December 13th at 7:00 a.m.

The EMA has made arrangements with on-call churches, Emmaus Rd. Lutheran Church in Levittown, Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church in Warminster and West Swamp Mennonite Church in Quakertown, to activate their emergency shelters.

The churches will coordinate transportation, temporary shelter, food and other necessities.

County Emergency Management Director Scott Forster and Health Director Dr. David Damsker have notified local public safety officials of the Code Blue declaration.

They advise all residents to be aware of the severe anticipated weather conditions.

Residents are urged to check on their elderly neighbors during this time. Caution also should be taken with pets when dealing with extremely cold temperatures.
