Cops Release Surveillance Video Of Suspects Wanted In Shooting Of Boy, 9

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting that took place in the Bronx.

At 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a shooting at the corner of East 175 Street and Prospect Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene and found a 9-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the right foot.

EMS arrived and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

Upon further investigation authorities determined that three suspects had been shooting at three unknown males in the vicinity of East 175 street and Clinton Avenue. Their shots struck the victim and no one else, police said.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Chevy Impala.
