Nanny Yoselyn Ortega Indicted In Deadly Stabbings Of Brother, Sister

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Upper West Side nanny accused of killing two children in her care last month has been indicted.

Yoselyn Ortega is charged with stabbing 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 2-year-old brother Leo on October 25.

Since then, Ortega, 50, has been hospitalized with self-inflicted stab wounds. She was arraigned at her hospital bedside last week after being interviewed by police about the murders.

Ortega reportedly told detectives she resented the way the Krim family treated her, though she did not admit to the killings.

The mother of the victims, Marina Krim, returned home to her luxury apartment building at 75th and Columbus Avenue to find her children stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife, according to police.

Last month, police told CBS 2 there was "anecdotal evidence" Ortega had recently sought help with her mental health.

Ortega's arraignment has not yet been scheduled.
