Justin Bieber Detained For Questioning At LAX

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Fresh off a flight from Japan, Justin Bieber had arrived to LAX Thursday when he was pulled aside for questioning.

The Canadian pop star was detained for several hours by U.S. Custom agents at the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

Bieber was eventually released, only to be swarmed by paparazzi and fans.

Roughly a dozen of his "Beliebers" were there holding up signs of support.

"I don't know why people give him that much of a bad reputation just because he's Justin Bieber. There are so many people out there in the world that do so much worse things than him," fan Natalie Marquez said.

"I think that was absolutely ridiculous. I think it was a joke, to be honest," fan Sarah Moore chimed in.

In January, Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach for allegedly driving under the influence. Days later, he was charged in Canada after an alleged incident with a limo driver. The star has also been embroiled in an ongoing feud with his neighbors in Calabasas over an alleged egging incident.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued a statement Thursday night saying they don't comment on personnel matters or on incidents involving individuals.
