Whoever said there isn't any good Mexican food in NYC hasn't been to Tortilleria Nixtamal in Queens. All of their tortillas, salsas, soups, fillings, and toppings are made fresh daily, so you know you're getting the real deal. Nosh on a batch of guacamole and house-made chips before digging into one of their traditional platters. Some of our favorites include the Sincronizada (that's a double layered quesadilla with beans, queso Oaxaca, and filling of your choice topped with salsa verde, lettuce, crema, and pico de gallo), Chipotle Tamales and Elote (fresh sweet corn with crema). Wash it all down with some horchata, aguas frescas, or Mexican Coke.
