Protester Shouts About Biden's Late Son During Vice-President's Speech At Democratic Convention

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Vice-President Joe Biden showed cool, calm compassion when his speech was interrupted by a protester at the Democratic Convention in San Jose Saturday.

Near the beginning of his remarks a man leaped to his feet and began shouting about cellphones.

The protester yelled that cellphones caused the brain tumor that killed Mr. Biden's son.

The Vice-President seemed to take it in stride telling security to "Let him go."

"It's all right, it's okay... my son Beau would love that part," he told the crowd. "Hey, let's not act like Republicans."

The crowd erupted in cheers, and the protester was led out of the room.

Beau Biden died last May of brain cancer.
