Who did the Giants draft for 2025? See the full list of New York's picks
The New York Giants picked edge rusher Abdul Carter and quarterback Jaxson Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, which wrapped up Saturday.
Carter, one of college football's most feared players during his career at Penn State, went to the Giants with the third overall pick.
New York took Dart after acquiring the 25th overall pick in a trade with the Houston Texans. The former Ole Miss QB was the second quarterback taken in the first round, after Cam Ward went first overall to the Tennessee Titans.
Both picks were pivotal decisions for New York's GM Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll, who appear to be on the hot seat after going 3-14 and suffering the longest losing streak franchise history last season. They also added free agent quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason.
The draft was held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Who did the New York Giants draft?
DE Abdul Carter, Penn State
The Giants' first pick was Abdul Carter, selected third overall. The edge rusher starred at Penn State for three seasons and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in his junior season. He also became the first unanimous consensus All-American at Penn State since Saquon Barkley, who was also drafted by the Giants.
QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
The Giants traded their second round pick (No. 34), a third round pick (No. 99), and a 2026 third-rounder to the Texans for the No. 25 pick in the first round. They used it to select Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart, who holds the school record for wins by a starting quarterback with 28.
DL Darius Alexander, Toledo
New York selected Toledo defensive lineman Darius Alexander with their only pick on Day 2 of the draft. Alexander was a second-team All-MAC selection in 2024.
RB Cam Skattebo, Arizona State
On Day 4, the Giants drafted Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo, who set the school record with 21 rushing touchdowns in 2024. He finished 5th in Heisman Trophy voting.
OL Marcus Mbow, Purdue
Offensive lineman Marcus Mbow, the Giants' fifth round pick, started 32 games in his college career at Purdue. He was a three-time All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.
TE Thomas Fidone II, Nebraska
With their first of two picks in the final round of the draft, the Giants selected Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II, who set career high with 36 receptions and 373 receiving yards in his final college season.
